Barming Pavilion

Barming is an attractive village near Maidstone in Kent. It is currently served by a number of small community facilities, but the village's growing numbers mean that these no longer have sufficient capacity to accomodate all those that wish to hire them, or take part on organised activities.

Barming Parish Council therefore commissioned CSC to explore the viability of demolishing an existing sports pavilion that was no longer fit for purpose, and rebuilding a new facility to supplement the existing buildings.

CSC conducted in depth research into the existing use of community facilities in the village, and concluded that not only was there scope for a new builing, but that it could also be run viably without jeopardising the existing Halls. We are now continuing to work with the Parish Council in:

* establishing a separate charitable trust to run the new building
* securing planning permission for the capital works
* applying for grant funding
